   Eilleen,

   I wish I had been able to be with you physically while you were in the ICU, but of course, I couldn’t be. I was with you in spirit, though. I am heartbroken. I I miss you so much already. We were friends for so long (could it really be forty years?), and I am grateful for that. Thank you for being a loyal, wonderful, friend. I will always miss you. You can count on that.
