Jeffrey even though we were separated by distance you and Pastor Valerie were always in our hearts. Save a spot near you at the great banquet table in Heaven because we all fell off of that great tree, Highland Avenue Baptist church.
My deepest sympathies on hearing about the passing of Jeff. Valerie, I’m deeply saddened about the loss of Jeff, but know that we will see him again very soon. Although, I haven’t been in touch, I do know the works God has done thru both of you and I praise God. My love to you and Danny and Stephen.
Dear Valerie, I just found this and I am so sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing. I left MS67 5 years ago and lost track of many of the people I worked with. Jeff meant so much to me…not only as a GREAT boss but as a friend and mentor! He was a remarkable person that had so many interests, a great sense of humor, tons of patience and he was the kindest, warm-hearted person I have ever known. I feel blessed that Jeff Surrett was my boss and friend for over 8+ years! I miss you, Jeff. Rest in peace. -Lynn 💜
Jeff was one of the oldest friends I had in the world though we lost touch many years ago. . My earliest memory of him is from about 3rd grade at PS 154 in Flushing, NY, so we went back to at least 1969. We became closer friends in Parsons Junior HS and Jamaica HS as we had more classes together and got to know one another better. We played little league baseball together and played trumpet together. We also attended Queens College together. Jeff was very bright, very kind, and a very good and reliable friend. I am quite saddened to hear of his passing.
