Rev. Porter, as we knew and called her, was an amazing woman of God. She was very encouraging to us and we know always prayed for us. She knew her purpose and she knew her God. She was such an inspiration to those that knew her always reminding them that with God they could make it. God was her purpose! She truly loved her family and especially those grandchildren and great grandchildren, always so proud of them all. She will be greatly missed but we have the hope of Christ that we will see her again. Our love and continued prayers to the family.

  You were the Mother-in -law I never had and what an experience. I’ve seen you physically up and down and you made a comeback every time. Such strength and so powerful I was lucky to be in your presence. Conversations and lessons you taught, never to be forgotten. You were blessed and you passed it on to me. You taught us family comes first. You always treated me as your son. Thank you for covering us with prayers and provision in our times of need. We will continue to love and care for each other just as you taught us to do.

Aunt Laura,
You played a very instrumental part in my life growing up. I will never forget that raspy voice you had that would catch the attention of anyone in a room with you.
What I remember most is the love you shared with me and my siblings growing up. That love did not diminish as we became adults. Instead you gave the tightest hugs and touching kisses . You were definitely a proud example of what it meant to have family and for that I say thank you.
While you are gone in the flesh, rest assured your spirit lives on in us. So just rest because you have done your job and we will take pieces of your leadership as we move on.

Thanks for being a part of our family. It was the caring, sharing , laughter and unconditionally love that is unforgettable. And for that I say thank you.
While you are no longer with us in the flesh you can rest assure knowing your spirit lives in. So continue to smile and know you will be missed but never forgotten.
