To My Mother,
I wanted you to live on but God wanted you to come home.
My dear mother, May you Rest In Peace until we meet again. I love and miss you so much!
Rev. Porter, as we knew and called her, was an amazing woman of God. She was very encouraging to us and we know always prayed for us. She knew her purpose and she knew her God. She was such an inspiration to those that knew her always reminding them that with God they could make it. God was her purpose! She truly loved her family and especially those grandchildren and great grandchildren, always so proud of them all. She will be greatly missed but we have the hope of Christ that we will see her again. Our love and continued prayers to the family.
To my grandmother,
You were the most patient, kind, loving and understanding grandmother anyone could ever have. I will love you forever and you will forever be in my heart.
I’m glad I was able to spend your 86th birthday with you. Your words and advice live on through me, I still remember them and follow them every day. Thank you for coming to visit me in a dream, the hour of your burial. It has given me strength. I love you
You were the Mother-in -law I never had and what an experience. I’ve seen you physically up and down and you made a comeback every time. Such strength and so powerful I was lucky to be in your presence. Conversations and lessons you taught, never to be forgotten. You were blessed and you passed it on to me. I’m forever Thankful Ms Lauraa Ladson Porter you will forever be missed.
To the woman that always smiled. I will always remember her smile and kind words. I know she’s smiling now and will welcome us with open arms when we meet again.
You taught us family comes first. You always treated me as your son. Thank you for covering us with prayers and provision in our times of need. We will continue to love and care for each other just as you taught us to do.
We will miss your laughter and smile. We are blessed to have been a part of you. Through us you will live forever.
Aunt Laura,
You played a very instrumental part in my life growing up. I will never forget that raspy voice you had that would catch the attention of anyone in a room with you.
What I remember most is the love you shared with me and my siblings growing up. That love did not diminish as we became adults. Instead you gave the tightest hugs and touching kisses . You were definitely a proud example of what it meant to have family and for that I say thank you.
While you are gone in the flesh, rest assured your spirit lives on in us. So just rest because you have done your job and we will take pieces of your leadership as we move on.
With Loving Memories
Aunt Laura

To Mrs Laura
I want to say one last “thank you” for being part of my life. You were not only my mothers last friend, you were there to give me motherly advice after she was gone. I could always count on you to be straightforward yet caring. You will be missed.
Ian and I cannot thank you enough for bonding our lives together 21 years ago by presiding over our wedding ceremony. You have always been so kind to us. We love you and you will certainly be missed.
