Rita was a wonderful person she always was full of life and lived life to the fullest, so it saddens me so that she is not with us anymore. May she rest is peace
You will be forever in our hearts rest in peace
Words will never tell how amazing Rita my mom was. Rita was a God sent for me. My mom gave me endless love and kindness to me and others. Mom, I LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU. YOU’LL ALWAYS WILL BE WITH ME. LOVE YOU. YOUR SON STEPHEN.
Rita was a kind, friendly woman that will be deeply missed. RIP
Rita was a wonderful person, a great educator & a very caring individual. She was definitely the voice of reason & was helpful to anyone who needed it. She was loved by family, friends, colleagues & students. She will truly be missed.
As my Bubby, it’s hard to say goodbye. But I know you and Mike get to say hello again, so that makes me happy.
Ms. Karig was my 12th grade English teacher at JFK HS. I have so many fond memories of her class-the books that we read and the discussions that followed. I also remember the times when we went to the 92nd Street Y and got to meet William Styron and Isabel Allende. Ms. Karig nurtured a love of reading and writing in myself as well as my classmates. In my bookshelf are 3 books that she along with Ms. Delfyett gave to me for English that year, one of which was “The Bluest Eye” by Toni Morrison. I will never forget the many lessons she taught and her presence in my life I hold very dear to my heart. She was a wonderful teacher and I am thankful to have been a student in her class.
Her physical presence may be gone but she will never be forgotten.
Steve, Sue, Dylan, we’re so sorry for your loss. Wishing you peace.
